Ran our first Warhammer40k: Dark Heresy session today with Mandy and Viv.
Here's a map of the system our unfortunate Mechanicus and Psyker found themselves marooned in, 40,000 light years from the Empress and Sector: Throne...(click to enlarge)
And yes, all the names mean what you think they mean.
Cool! How did they like it?
ReplyDeleteSo how much of the 40k fluff survived the transition into D&DWPS40K?
ReplyDeleteBlood for the Blood God!!! um...I mean, I hope you enjoy the game.
ReplyDeletei'd like to hear more about the setting and the session.
ReplyDeleteSo is the Gigastructure a truly immense, star-dwarfing Source Wall scope thing as the diagram indicates?
ReplyDeletePerhaps a silly question given what we've seen of your patchwork approach to game mechanics in the past, but how closely did you stick to the official Dark Heresy rules?
ReplyDeleteI first read the Red Moon as being called "Kara-Turok" and thought that was total genius!
ReplyDeleteAlgol as part of an amalgamation of Thool and Carcosa? Hoho, the pastiche sitting with the giants that it idolizes.... ;)
The Empress- that's a good take on the 40k universe. I've been thinking of doing a dark space setting using Terminal Space or the upcoming X-plorers.
ReplyDeleteThat map is sexy. "Giga class structure" -very cool.
