It almost looks like you werent trying AT ALL when creating the dragon. That dragon is white and EVERYONE knows that dragons that breath fire are supposed to be red. At least, I assume that mess coming from the dragons face is fire, because im just not really getting a strong sense of heat from the image.
Additionally, for a city kit there are nowhere near enough buildings/streetsigns/motorcars/diarrhea/bars/morons. I would never buy a city kit if the cover wasnt at least 65% those things because thats what a city is.
etc etc. As an artist you have no redeeming qualities and you're sexist since the knight on the front is clearly a man.
/unsarcasm.
As a famous internet-jerk once said, "Haters gonna hate".
I think the dragon looks fine. Also - great to see such attention to detail on the sun having exactly eight rays. So sick of people overlooking something so freakin simple.
I dont know why people dont get bored of seeing the same kind of art one time and another and another. I like Elmore kind of artwork too by i think tha we must start some day to apreciate another views of fantasy art.
here in Spain ther was edition of Runequest stuff with covers a litle bit different of the usual and people went crazy, and all that shit was because a broos dick!!
Zak: Terrible use of colour.

That's a candelabra peryton, not a dragon, I believe.

ReplyDeleteMinor Item: The Floppysocks of the Vornish Batagator.
ReplyDeleteNeither Perytons or actual, non-digital acrylic paints get the respect they deserve these days. Wonderful work.
ReplyDeleteThe cover is great.

Damm, I wish Chaosium would of published this stuff for the US markets. It really captures that mythical bronze age of Glorantha.
ReplyDeleteGreat art!
ReplyDeleteI especially love the peryton, the lights on his antlers, and the flail. Also, the mohawk girl on the cover has awesome expression in her face.
