LBBs+28Gs

I am uploading this picture merely because it may be the world's only photograph of someone holding the Little Brown Books between their breasts.

And yes, they're real.

  1. I don't think I've seen real ones up close like that before! My first were the Mentzer red books.

  2. That's great, and all, but some blogs (like mine) have that feature where it shows a thumbnail image next to entries on the blogroll, so this one is causing some problems on my end...

  3. Well, boob image on my front page, mainly.

  4. @Will

And this causes a problem not already caused by having the words "Playing D&D With Porn Stars" on your front page because...?

(A good answer here will get me to scan a hilarious illustration from an LBB and put it above the tit picture, thereby absolving your page of all titsponsibility in this matter.)

  5. Well, of course they're real. Kinda hard to fake that cardstock, worn edges, print and look of the print unless you spent a lot of time on it.

Oh, were you meaning the tits? They're nice and all.. but if that's a first or second printing...

    Priorities, man! ;)

  6. @chicagowiz

I don't know how to tell the printings apart--do you? It doesn't say anything about what printing it is on the inside where books normally do.

  7. Zak S. His eternal mission: make art and dispel the notion that gamers are virgins.

    Missions: accomplished.

  8. Edition info at the Acaeum

If the printing number is not shown on the inside cover, they're probably fifth+ printing.

  9. @Paul

    Thanks!

    6th edition.

Oh well. At least the tits are first edition.

  10. Mandy's the elder sibling, then?

Also, I didn't realize boobs could be viral but just in case, Will, you could always practice safe-blogging by turning that option off.

  11. @Chris

Actually Mandy came out late in the AD&D era.

  12. Every time I come across a copy of the LBBs for sale I struggle with the urge to purchase. I have the pdfs, and I will likely never play OD&D, but Zak: the illustration of the Elf is the best thing I have ever seen in any D&D book. Every time I see that hairy bastard I want to see him kick Legolas in his makeup bag and break all his hairbrushes.

Mandy is lovely as always, of course.

  13. @sirallen

It's not better than the "Beautiful Witch, Amazon" picture.

    ReplyDelete
  14. @SirAllen Okay, now I have to go torrent the PDF. The hairbrush line made me cackle.

@Zak, just saw Mandy's post of the photos this is included in. I'm now convinced Gigacrawler is not fiction: You live in a gigastructure of acrylic paint, metal CDs, old game consoles and breasts.

  15. @Greg

When they start paying me to write my blog, I will start caring whether anything I do here has a point.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Don't really care though. Just kinda strikes me as pointless.

Bringing smiles to the faces of hundreds of people isn't pointless.:)

  17. It's just that now I have to either:

    a) Put an adult content warning on my page.

    or

    b) Disable the thumbnail feature.

    or

    c) Take this particular blog off my list.

All of these options suck, AFAIK.

    ReplyDelete
  18. I see you went for option C before giving me a chance to hear your case.

The proprietor of PD&DWPS is a reasonable man. Never assume otherwise. I have taken steps to preserve the dignity of your front page.

If these people are relying upon Zak to show them boobage, they are really inept. I could even find Mandy's boobs in just a few quick clicks, if I wanted to see them. I mean, she isn't exactly the modest type.

    @ Zak

What I meant is that I don't see it really having any functional utility, compared to many of your other posts that do. Again, I am not getting offended or anything remotely close to that.

Having my 5 month old screaming in my face all day because he was grumpy (seriously, I have no other explanation. The dude was just grumpy) has kinda made me temporarily immune to annoyance of any kind. I am like... shellshocked. For the moment.

I'm sure I will work up some extra outrage pretty soon.

  20. Let's just get this out of the way, shall we?

Do you have to? I'm really, really biting my tongue on this because I think arguing over what Zak puts on his blog really WILL be pointless.

    ReplyDelete
  22. lol thanks zak and mandy you guys freakin rock :D

    ReplyDelete
  23. @Dad

Let's not pile on Will here. I'm sure there are people who will report his blog for indecent content if a boob appears on it and it doesn't have a warning.

Though, y'know, whoever those people are, you're welcome to pile on -them-.

    ReplyDelete
  24. @ Chris

I didn't mean outrage at Zak. I meant like generally. At someone. I am saying right now I am numb.

    ReplyDelete
  25. @ Greg - It's not merely a matter of "seeing boobies." The meaning is multi-layered, informed and nuanced. :) :) :)

    @greg

I can't tell if you two are trying to argue with each other or not, but if so, please stop.

  27. Yeah they are great, but are they in mint condition?

    ReplyDelete
  28. @Zanazz

Even if they are slightly used, they are real, and they are amazing :-)

    ReplyDelete
  29. I didn't mean to pile on Will. His beef wasn't with the content anyway (just with the boobs inadvertently showing up on his blog). I was just having some fun.

  30. @greg
    @zak

I was trying to do the opposite actually, but yeah - it's cool, Greg, I get what you meant now.

  31. My my look at all the novelty fatigue roaming around in here. ;)

    ReplyDelete
  32. Never, Ms. Morbid! Hubba hubba!

    ReplyDelete
  33. @Mandy

I did wake up today and think "Wait, how the hell did a photo of Mandy's breast start a proto-argument?" Obviously world peace is impossible at this rate.

    ReplyDelete
  34. @Mandy: No offense but at a certain age a boob is a boob and my relationship with the person attached to it is much more important. Plus, I have two complete sets of OD&D so whereas for some they might make you interesting for a relationship...

Now, I hear you're DMing and you're one of the players Zak has that makes me jealous so if you'd like to show pictures of that *winks*

@Zak: Teasing Mandy aside this post brought a smile to my face from the sheer randomness of it.

    ReplyDelete
  35. @Zak S:
response to zanaz: ha!, I would've thought NM(surely not SW).

    napalm dripping off everything:
4Chan(and the general Unternet) starts here and goes down! The RPG-sphere is like Switzerland by comparison!

    @Mandy:
    'novelty fatigue':
    Isn't it grand?

Looking forward to more of your gaming reports!

  37. @herb, Glad you got the point about this post's randomness. Sometimes Zak's posts are allowed to be silly.

    ReplyDelete
  38. I have made it my goal in life to shoehorn "titsponsibility" into the mainstream lexicon.

    ReplyDelete
  39. I keep thinking that there *might* be a photo of a rather large dude holding the LBBs in exactly this manner somewhere out there in the 'verse. I don't want to accidentally stumble upon THAT pic. :)

    ReplyDelete
  40. Now THAT is what I like, more tits featured on D&D covers (I dont care how or in what context, they are awesome)! O,.O ~ yesssss!

    ReplyDelete
  41. I take no position other than the blindingly obvious re: nice tits, but I hope my prior output places me foursquare in the Devil's Party re: posts so non sequitur as to imply a dissociative disorder. Fuck topics, fly the freak flag.
