Last Night's Game In 9 Pictures

________

(Visual aids, terrain, and minis used during the TMNT adventure in The Red Palace.)

Oh, and for those keeping up with the rules hacks--removing SDC worked out fine. Felt just like D&D.

  1. Brilliant. I suspect that a number of post-apocalypse mutant animal road warrior games will now spring up as a result of this inspirational series!

  2. Hm; so now the players are off to Jordan, eh? I mean, I'm guessing.

  4. I just want to mail those fortune cookies randomly to my friends.

  5. Was that a jumping shark at the end? Seems early in a campaign for that...

  6. I reckon it's a mutant killer goldfish, like they keep in the tanks in Chinese restaurants to improve the feng shui. Except, you know, mutant & killer.

  7. All this and now Big Black references. Best blog ever.

An assassin fired at a customer, but the mutant zebra pushed him out of the way, so, of course, the bullet hit the fish tank.

Whenever I despair for the fact that I am a professional artist whose whole job is to make things to entertain a public with an uncanny talent for missing the point of whatever you put in front of them, I think "Well at least the people who read DNDWPS know what's up". Thanks for keeping up my faith in humanity.

Also note: first line of Clutch's "A Shogun Named Marcus" is "If you thought it was boring in Jordan, then come out here for a day"

  10. Man, these recaps really make me want to run a crazy psychotronic post-apocalyptic game. Like Desperado meets Smokey and the Bandit crazy, with Man or Astroman and 16 Horsepower blaring from car speakers.

I hear ya, both on the campaign jones and the M...OAM?

Just the post-apocalyptic Chinese restaurant is choice!

  12. So when you dropped SDC, you dropped the hp consequence charts too, right? Or were those not a part of the TMNT-specific Palladium conversion?

  13. @Zak: How do you handle the fortune-telling? Does they occur immediately, is there a die-roll for occurrence, is the PC immune from death until it happens, etc.?

The integrity of my campaign demands I temporarily keep the answer to that question a secret
